Metro Manila Film Festival 2011

    The 37th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is the annual film festival in Manila that will be held from December 25, 2011 until the first week of January 2012. During the festival, no foreign films are shown in Philippine theaters in order to showcase locally produced films. Since its Christmas time and we have more to spare, why not patronize our own locally produced movies. So if you are thinking of what film to watch, here are the official entries for the Metro Manila Film Festival:

Enteng Ng Ina Mo is a fantasy comedy film starring Vic Sotto and Ai Ai delas Alas. It is a joint production by Star Cinema, M-Zet TV Productions, APT Entertainment Production and Octo Arts Films and is a cross-over to the Ang Tanging Ina and Enteng Kabisote series

Segunda Mano is a horror-suspense film starring Kris Aquino and Dingdong Dantes. It is produced by Star Cinema, Agostodos Pictures, and Cine Media

Ang Panday 2 is an action fantasy. It is the sequel of Ang Panday (2009) and the second installment of Panday film series. It is directed by Mac Alejandre. It stars Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Marian Rivera, Iza Calzado, Rhian Ramos, Phillip Salvador and several others


Househusband is a family comedy movie starring real life couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo. Written and directed by Jose Javier Reyes and produced by Octo Arts Film


Shake, Rattle & Roll 13 is a horror suspense film in three acts from Regal Films. It is the thirteenth installment of Shake, Rattle & Roll film series. It is also distributed by the Regal Entertainment, Inc. and Regal Multimedia, Inc. It stars Eugene Domingo, Zanjoe Marudo, Maricar Reyes, and several others.

Maricel Soriano reunites with Gabby Concepcion in the 2011 MMFF entry from Regal Films titled “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow.” Directed by Jun Lana, also included in the casts are Carla Abellana, Jericho Rosales, Agot Isidro, Ronaldo Valdez, Solenn Heussaff, Dennis Trillo, Paulo Avelino and Lovi Poe.


Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story is an official entry of the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival. Produced by Scenema Concept International and under the direction of Tikoy Aguiluz, the film stars Jeorge "E.R." Estregan in the title role, with Carla Abellana and Phillip Salvador
